They have considered changing the battle system, and Uematsu is not doing the music.
I'm not worried anymore.

Boy, and here I thought we'd actually get another turn based Final Fantasy again. No, clearly more people will buy the game if we have a hack eyed hack and slash system.
Why even remake the game if you're just going to change the core gameplay?

I hope they work more on the story.. It had some problems. But yeah, so far the game is very aesthetically pleasing. The translation will also be far better.
The team has said that they are working in two different battle systems. This is just alpha anyway. This whole game could change during the other stages.
Squeenix is handling this with as much care as they can. This game could break theif company if they do this "wrong".
In other news a vague statement about it being episodic has been released.
