"Oh, get over yourself," Jordan sneered, shaking his head. "Don't even start with your bulls----" "It's not bulls--- if it's f---ing true, a--hole," Chris said, holding Mason close. "You're just jealous you were s--- to Mason, and now that's he's gone you can't pull anyone-"

Mason snuggled into his touch, sighing. He didn’t know what to say.

"So do yourself a f---ing favor, and hang up right now before you make more of a fool of yourself," Chris said to Jordan. "Whatever. You'll come crawling back to me when you realize how worthless you are without me," Jordan retorted, anger in his voice. "And I know where you live, so don't try and pull some bulls---." And with that, Jordan hung up.

That totally didn’t scare Mason at all. He buried his face in Chris’s chest. ‘I-It’s fine, he probably won’t even do anything-‘

"I won't let him either way," Chris said, holding Mason close. "I won't let anything happen to you, hun."

Mason sighed, snuggling closer. ‘Mmkay,’ he mum led.

Chris exhaled softly, holding Mason close. "I'm here to protect you- not that you can't handle yourself, I'm sure-" He said, chuckling awkwardly.

Mason chuckled weakly. ‘I know,’ he mumbled.

Chris exhaled softly, rubbing Mason's back. "I'm here for you, though. I'm not gonna let some a--hole hurt you, not again-" He muttered, referring to himself. He rested his head on Mason's, pressing a kiss on his hair.

Mason gave a small smile. He thought he was referring to Jordan. ‘Thanks.’

"You're welcome, hun," Chris said with a small smile, holding Mason close.

Chris ran a hand through Mason's hair, humming softly. "I love you, hun."

Mason sighed softly and buried his face in Chris’s chest, feeling bad for not being able to say it back.’
