Mahina smiled weakly.

Ernest noticed, and gave her a small hug.

Mahina hugged him back.

Ernie looked down at her, smiling softly.

‘Ernest?’

"Yeah?"

‘I don’t want to go with my parents.’

"I know." Ernest nodded. "If they make you, you can run off with me, sounds good?"

Mahina let a smile tug at the corners of her mouth. ‘Yeah.’

Ernie smiled back. "Alright, good."
