Chester pointed at a cluster of stars in the sky. ‘Those look like a heart if you look closely.’

Jayden smiled. “They do, don’t they?” He chuckled.

Chester nodded, smiling. ‘Almost as big as my love for you,’ he said, kissing his cheek.

Jayden blushed. “Love you too.” He snuggled into Chester’s arms.

Chester smiled, pulling him close. He pulled back his good arm to take the letter out of his coat.

They got to the front of the line. The women working behind the counter looked stunned that Chester and Jayden were her customers. “How may I help?”

Chester held out the letter. ‘I wish to mail this, please.’

“Of course.” The girls looked to make sure the address and return address was on it. “That’ll be sent as fast as possible.”

Chester smiled. ‘Thank you, miss,’ he said, then glanced at Jayden. ‘Do we need to pay or something?’

Jayden nodded, rummaging in his coat pocket and giving her some coins.

The girl took the coins. ‘Have a good evening, sires,’ she said with a smile.

“You too.” Jayden walked out of the line, holding Chester’s hand.

Chester followed him, smiling. ‘Now, let’s hope we can get back without any reporters or gangs.’

Jayd nodded, leaning his head on his shoulder. “Sounds good.”

Chester smiled and wrapped an arm around him, kissing the top of his head. He held the door open for him.
