Terri grasped the branches firmly and made her way down. Every once in a while, she heard a crack, but that didn't really bother her. The shipping bird flew down.
Melissa sucks in her breath, being careful with her steps. When she got near the bottom, she jumped down. “Oof.” She flinches at the small amount of pain in her foot. “N-Never gonna do that again...”
“Yeah, my foot feels fine.” Melissa twists her foot around in circles to get rid of the remaining pain. “I’ve already done that once today, and my body seems to not like that.” She giggles.
Melissa scrunches her nose in thought. “Hmmm...” She looks at the tree again. “Maybe we can go to my house for right now. My parents wouldn’t care. They never do... She says, muttering the last part.
After a couple of minutes, Melissa sees the back of the house. She stops and looks at Terri, smiling. “Here’s my house! Well, the back of it...” She says, glancing back at the house.
