Hearing the noise outside, Yancy walked out of her house in the forest to investigate. She walked a little ways until she found a strange creature on the ground. She looked at the creature that appeared to be bleeding and unconscious and wondered what it was. She decided to try and take it home.
Sgrios slowly fought his way back to consciousness, his lower eyes cracking open as he dragged in a painful breath. He sensed someone near him and hissed softly, his tail dragging sluggishly over the ground as he tried to make himself get up
Yancy heard the growl and saw the creature twitch but all that did was reassure her that the creature was in pain and she quickened her pace. Soon she got the creature to her house and put it on her bed. She then walked to the opposite side and tried to find her healing herbs.
Just then her skull's eyes began to glow, showing it was away. The skull, named Jon, said "What vermin did you bring into our house this time?" Yancy said, not even looking at him "What's that supposed to mean?" Jon answered "You always look at the healing herbs either when you're injured or you found some other animal to adopt. And you are clearly not injured."
(BTW, Sgrios should be able to hear this as Yancy's house is just one big room.)
Yancy said "Hey, I take good care of the animals I find. " Sure. Like the cat?" Jon retorted. He referred to the skeleton cat, sleeping on the floor next to the fireplace. Yancy said "I don't hear him complaining." She then found the herbs and some bandages. She walked over to the creature and began putting the herbs on it's wounds and wrapping bandages around them to the herbs would stay in place.
Sgrios growled again when she got close, but went quiet when he realised that she want hurting him. More confusion filled him, trying to figure out why this stranger was trying to help him. He stayed still for a few seconds, and then managed to fully open all of his eyes to look at her
Yancy didn't notice the creature's eyes open and instead looked at Jon and said "Besides, whatever it is might be grateful for us." "Yeah, that's what the farmer thought about the viper. A quick bite proved him wrong." Jon retorted. Yancy said "Shut up, Jon." and looked back at the creature and was slightly shocked that it's eyes were open.
Yancy patted the creature's arm and walked to the fireplace. She pulled out a rag she had in her cauldron and wringed it out. It wasn't hot but it was warm enough to help the healing. She then folded it and walked back to the bed to place the rag on the creature's forehead.
Yancy looked back and Jon and said "See, it's calm. It's not gonna hurt us." Jon said "Sure, for now." Yancy just scoffed and looked back at the creature. What was it? It looked undead but not like any undead monster she had seen. She decided to look in her summoning and creature books to find the answer.
