How do you cope with paranoia?

Thread Topic: How do you cope with paranoia?

I struggle a lot with it and I am unsure how to always cope. I am afraid I'll act on my paranoia and.. sometimes I do. I feel ashamed when I do.

Distract myself with YouTube, trying to accept the thoughts as they come and wave them away. Like yep, that's a thought. And move on

I try to run through the logistics of things to remind myself that it's not likely. Like no, a killer is not going to come for me in the middle of the night and we do not need to lock the doors because then family will notice. But I can lock the window if it makes me safer
