You know what the funny thing about the whole day was?
I had gone to school painted the way people paint themselves.
My Spaniard teacher knew what day it was.
My Asian teacher knew what day it was.
My Latino-Raised-in-Murica teacher knew what day it was.
They all let me walk around with the paint because they figured it was traditional for me/wasn't harming anyone.
Then hurr hurr hurr here comes the Murican assistant principal and tells me to take that off and WHY I had it on.
I'm just like D: I deal with all your Gringo s--- every year, I should at least get this day to walk around like this. I'm not bothering anyone and I don't use this as an excuse to not do work.
But of course.. apparently this is MURICA! -
