I can use the scrolls to cross the line no one is ever to cross, and leave behind my physical being. With that, I can infiltrate the dimension of darkness, where detached souls wait for judgement as to their afterlife. That's why it has to be done relatively quickl after death. Wait too long, and they end up in Heaven or hell, and I can't get to either of those places. Unfortunately, it has a tremendous toll on my body.. -
