I'm back.
Okay, so this race has been nearly destroyed, except for one last survivor. S/he sets out to find the murderer of his/her kin, but when the murderer is confronted, the two seem to have more in common than the creature originally thought. The creature has hidden his/her true identity from the murderer, and slowly grows to befriend/secretly admire the murderer, and vice versa. But when the murderer discovers the creature's secret, s/he has to decide whether to cause the race's extinction or spare his/her new friend.
I dunno, two minutes on the porcelain throne doesn't give you much. -
