I think it should take place at a rather strange mascurade party, a show that just ended made me want to do this XD your character sees someone get killed by mine and tries to hunt him down XD

it was dark out, I was walking towards the big building, there was a mascurade party, I walked inside

I entered the masquerade party. The outfits and masks were quite fun, but I wasn't really in the mood for a party. I smiled and sucked it up.

I was talking to a random person ( not your character ) my mask wasn't as beautiful as the other ones, I didn't care, I asked the person to come to an area where there wasn't any people and where no one saw me or the person I was about to kill

I saw two people talking. I wouldn't have cared, but under the man's coat something glinted curiously. Intrigued, I followed them outside and watched, careful not to be seen.
