I suppose I was holding Sarah, she had the blonde hair and blue dress. I looked over, "I think I like Melissa best.."

"Yeah... Melissa wa- IS my favorite, too," I said. I caught my slip-up and fixed it, hoping Acacia wouldn't notice.

I noticed her mistake, yet I ignored it. "She's beautiful," I whispered, picking her up. I brushed my fingers through her hair, my mind saw her smiling.

Lucy... Can I come out now? Melissa thought.
Not yet... I thought. I smiled as I saw her do the same. -
I started to braid Melissa's hair, it was so silky.

Melissa giggled slightly, and I glared at her. Shut. Up. If Acacia hears you, we'll have another doll, I thought.

I laughed a bit, "Working on a new laugh, Lucy?" -
Mwahaha, it's probably not what you think. You shall see.
I grinned. "Maybe." -
I heard it again, from right in front of me. "Did this doll just giggle?" I wasn't sure, maybe that was how it was made? I started looking for a button in it, possibly I hit it. Or maybe it was my imagination, again?

"Oh, yeah. I put a microchip in it so that when I say certain things, it laughs. And other times *it cries*," I said, smiling at Acacia, then glancing at Melissa.

"Oh, that's cool," I smiled.

"Yeah. I put a lot of work into my dolls," I grinned.

I heared Lucy's mom yell that the cake was ready, I set Melissa on the pillow and head downstairs.

I stood up and glared at Melissa. "You stay quiet." Then I followed Acacia downstairs.

Everyone sung Happy Birthday, I smiled. This is what I like about Lucy's family, they're practically my family, too.
