I was t scared of them, I was just really shy. And I was only really afraid of the dark. :P

That's what funny, I never really had a problem with the dark. I kind of liked it. xD The only thing that ever terrified me though was thunderstorms. But in Okinawa, we would get hurricanes that would let my dad stay home for a day or two, so I decided to be brave during those because we'd have him.
