I drove down the road, listening to the radio.
That night...
I drove into the garage for a motel and signed in. -

I brought my bags up to the room. I then went back to the garage so I could clean up Fighter. He still had grease all over him. I wouldn't be getting any points for unsatisfactory presentation.

I washed off Fighter. I was tired so I decided to clean him again when we got to the competition.

I got dressed in my pjs and fell asleep before my head even hit the pillow. I dreamt of winning and going on to the championship.

When I woke up, I signed out and headed to the garage. I didn't bother to change out of my pjs. I packed Fighter back into the u-haul and started driving again, listening to the radio.

I sang along to the radio.
That night....
I arrived at San Francisco at 12:30 pm. I drove to the hotel I would be staying at, the one mentioned in the invite. -

I got out and walked into the lobby.

I went up to the counter and signed my name and bot in. I then accepted the key. When I turned around it slipped out of my hands.

I took them back. "Er, thanks." I looked at him.

I watched him. "Are you in the fights?"

"Yep. I'm Tris." I held out my hand for him to shake.

I smiled. "Nice to meet you and good luck."

I went to my room which was apparently right next to his.
