This is going to make me sound old buuuuut
When I was younger, my dad and step-mom would go the local Blockbuster (before it closed) and rent movies for us to watch sometimes. Idk why I thought of that just now, but I miss my dad (he's still alive, we just don't talk).
Being an adult and trying to mend relationships with both of your parents is hard. I shouldn't be putting in the effort that I do, but also at the same time if something happens to either of them, I can genuinely say that I've tried. -
I think the hardest thing to deal with is my mom.
Even though my dad and step-mom put me through hell and back, I didn't get to see my mom after they got divorced and we moved two states away. I finally started having a relationship with her when I was 18, and I am glad that I am up here with her, but I honestly don't feel like her child. I feel like the person that's supposed to fix everything and give her money when she needs it and that's not fair to me. -
I wish things had turn out different sometimes.
But I wouldn't be the person I am today if they had. -
I may get my sketchbook out and draw later. I started drawing something last weekend and never finished

Trying to fill out this new hire paperwork
-
I feel like every job I have, this paperwork gets more complicated
-
So this job is a mix of call center and work from home; and this is wild to me:
reserves the right to ask associates to submit photos of their home office as needed -
Da hekk?

This one is interesting, and I don't know if I like it
Unworked Time due to System Down Time is unpaid, regardless of whether the issue is a Company/Client outage,
related to company equipment, or related to the employee’s personal equipment or systems (i.e. home ISP
provided).
It's crazy, because if I am in the building I believe I should be getting paid for it. -
These policies are grossing me out.
-
Like, if you don't want to pay folks, tell them to clock out for the day and don't bother them. Don't call them back to the office even if things are working again.
-
That's how I feel. I am going to ask them about these policies once I get to the class, because best bet if I am not getting paid for it, I will not be in the building.
