The coaches and the band director met up to set up times for pep rallies because we have too many kids in the school to put them all in the gym. They would be piled on the stands and on the floor if we tried. My school teaches fourth through eighth grade plus pre-k, but pre-k isn't included because they're tiny babies. aNYWAY, I'm playing at five pep rallies because we're doing it by grade level. Each one is an hour long, and the cheerleaders and football players will be there. I get to play and get out of class for five hours. This is fun.

Five hours doing what you love and getting out of school?
Sounds fun -
We also need time to set up and warm up which is at least thirty minutes prior to the first pep rally. School is seven hours long. I'll have my first class and a little bit if my second class then I can leave.

Bands are big
I know, but skipping most of school. -
Sixth and seventh grade are one band, and eighth grade is a separate band. We play for the same school, but eighth grade does more difficult music because most of the kids are year three. The only thing we have in common is we have the same music for football games and pep rallies. That's the only time we all play together.
-
Oh. We have band for every grade
-
Each grade level is their own band?
-
They have their own band, it gets harder every year.
-
That makes sense. I didn't join band in sixth or seventh grade, so I didn't get to start out with easy music. I had to start out with harder stuff, and I act like it that way.
-
*I actually like it that way.
-
Ah, I see
You gonna be in the marching band? :o -
I will next year and all throughout high school.
-
What do you play? Clarinet right?
When you're a terrible friend -
Yeppp.
You don't get to do marching band unless you try out when you're going to seventh or eighth grade. I missed the deadline. I didn't get to try out. You don't have to try out when you're in high school.
