Hi Kat. I don't know it either, but I think it's got to do with making or linking a quiz to your account.

You link a quiz from your other account to that one and it will temporarily be novice,then you link the pic and in a few hours to a day your no longer novice.

I dont think you can unless you link a quiz, which makes u novice and can have a profile pic
