Thread Topic: Remedies or help to get rid of raspy/hoarse voice?
-
I have a play to act in today and I'm the main character, but the problem is, my voice is raspy!
My throat hurts too and I have to yell a lot in the play, which I'm not sure will go great.
Anyway, does anyone know how to get rid of raspy voice? -
Why do you have a play on New Year's Eve?
-
You tell me.
I don't know! They decided to have the play put off for today of all available days. -
Is it a school play?
-
No, it's not a play from school.
-
Like a theatre play?
-
Yes, it's a threat play.
And my voice is raspy and I'm trying not to talk or whisper so that it stops hurting. But it's still raspy. I don't think I'll be up for yelling a lot with my throat hurting. I don't know what to do. :( -
Oh, I don't know what would help you.
-
Neither do I. I don't know if I should drink hot honey and lime (disgusting because I took it last year and bleh, it was worse than root beer!)
or if should just not talk at all except for when the play starts (which will start at like 9:30 pm. -
Not talking until the play starts sounds like a good idea, although I never done this before.
-
Gargle salt water. It's nasty but it works.
-
It's hard for me not to talk, though! I mean, I don't talk 24/7 but I get bored of being in silence. I will try my hardest.
But one thing is clear: I will play my part in that play.
I am NOT about to quit! Hell to the no! -
Good luck in the play
-
Salt water? Hmmmmm. Intriguing!
Yeah, it sounds nasty, but bring on dablood and guts! action!!! -
Thanx!
