The fact that the child could recite for her the punishment tells me that it is not a one time offense, and his f---ing screaming tells me he will suffer emotional damage. Furthermore, if his mother can not only hear his pained cries and let it keep happening, but yell over them so he can hear her scolding, I get the feeling they're going to have a very strained relationship.
-
Yeah, what Geek said. I read the description and the officer (I think) had dropped the abuse charges and thought this was just a one-time facade to get it on television because they asked her for videos on disciplining or punishing her parents. You can't just go and act baffled without reading.
-
EVEN IF IT IS A ONE TIME THING THIS CHILD SUFFERED FOR HER CRY FOR ATTENTION
Shut the f--- up with your edgy "it happens all the time so I don't care" bulls---. -
Yeah, this happens all the time. I'm just basically saying I'm used to it and not shocked.
-
The Coldest Sun is right. It doesn't matter if it only happened once. That was physical and emotional abuse.
-
Then why say anything at all? You've added nothing worth reading to the conversation.
-
So, I can only join the discussion if I have the same reaction as everybody else? That's nice to know.
-
I would prefer if you join in a discussion only if you have something worthwhile to say.
-
I bet that probably means that it has to be the same as everybody else's to be accepted. No, I'm not doing that. I can say whatever I want. Sorry, not doing that. I refuse. Nope. Noooo.
I don't f---ing care if it's your thread or not. -
I just told you what it means. If you want to construe it as you being "oppressed" again, that's your prerogative.
-
That was a "worthwhile", that was my opinion. But as always, in your perspective, it's not worthwhile because it doesn't conform to your stupid stipulations. I'm out of here. My opinion was not worthless, this whole discussion was, and I'm gone. I need to watch some anime and surf the web. Bye.~

Coldest, I at least am not saying that is was an ok thing to do nor am I defending her actions. Merely saying that habing child took away is unnecessary unless what happened is repeated. Because while I am unsure how it works in US, the foster care system in the uk is s---ty to be involved in in any way.
-
I know, Geeky. I believe that even if it wasn't repeated, the fact that she was able to do that to him in the first place makes me think she'll abuse him in other ways as well. I couldn't tell you how the foster care system is here.
