The Arkansas one is 100% true. I got in trouble during class once because me and some friends were pronouncing Arkansas like Our-Kansas.
It was a joke.

I looked it up, apparently the law was instated because two senators were arguing about the annunciation, and so they chose the one that kept with the Native American and French ties Arkansas had and made it illegal to pronounce it another way out of respect.
Which is actually understandable tbh.
