So apparently, our choir teacher is resigning because of the school not enabling her to get more hours for classes and the lack of class hours means she doesn't get benefits for her job. With twins at home, she's having to spend more than what she makes.
And of all the people, Sapphire and I were crying the hardest. We spent all year being angry with her, the way she seems to favor certain people and how she seems to hardly try, meanwhile she's spent the whole year thinking about her resignation.
The freshman inside me remembered how she actually tried back then. How she asked me to be in Women's Ensemble, out of 30 other talented girls, at the end of the year. How she helped me when I cried because of how alone I felt on our first trip to Chicago. How she listened to our problems, and still tries to. How she's been trying to get Women's Ensemble its own class period again.
I'm a s--- person, and I wish the choirs would've known more, so maybe we could've helped get those classes that she's needed for 4 years.
I just hope whoever comes in doesn't destroy it for my underclassmen. I honestly hope it's Mrs.Wheeler because she knows our ways and would make sure Cabaret lives on... -
I'm in choir too, and I know how sad it would be to have your choir teacher leave, being the one who helps you and tries to understand you all while trying to teach at the same time. I'm sorry for this happening, and I wish you all the best.
