A divorce... Or change of custody perhaps. The child, America, is being taken away from the mother, England, and she is fighting for what is rightfully hers.

Actually, a lot of people at the time compared it to a child rebelling against his or her mother. Benjamin Franklin wrote a great poem about it. I need to find it...

@hamiltion. some parents that actually give me a break every now and then. mine are so uptight... sometimes i understand why they do what they do and other times i wish i could kill them with my bare hands -
