I remember them, these beautiful ghostly designs moving so prettily across the ceiling. I remember, even when we were in Germany, I would lay awake in that room I shared with Mammma and Pappa. Pappa would be asleep, snoring. Mamma would be drinking in the kitchen. I would stare up at the ceiling and at the pitch black before me, waiting. After a while, the angels would appear. At least, that's what I called them. They danced like smoke throughout the room, and they would sometimes talk to me. Sometimes, though, I couldn't answer. Sometimes Pappa and Mamma were awake. Mamma didn't like it when I talked to them.
My little sister was born, and we went to be with family in America. But even in our new house, I would see them. I shared a room with my little sister, so I would talk to them. She was a baby, after all. She couldn't tell.
I told Mamma and she layed down next to me at night until they appeared. I pointed to them and showed her, but she couldn't see them. She made me draw pictures of them.
They weren't happy that I told Mamma. They got mad and shook me awake sometimes, even touched me all over my body. I got scared and hid under the covers, screwing my eyes shut.
They found me one night.
"Why are you scared? We want to help you."
I cried a little bit and told them to go away.
"You want us to leave?"
I confirmed this and they disappeared.
Since then, I haven't seen them. I was seven. -
This might have been during or after the angels, but
I had fallen asleep in the bathroom one night, after crying because my parents were fighting outside the door. When I woke up that morning, I was in my bed. I asked my Mamma and Pappa and even big brother who carried me to my bed. I had no memory of leaving the bathroom. I would think the lights would wake me.
It wouldn't have been the first time I sleepwalked, but certainly the most elaborate. -
And yeh this is my childhood memories oh yay me.
