Lemme type it up, it's kinda eh -
After Andrew passed, Matthew told himself that he would be fine. Went back to work, drowning himself in hospital shops and tests. He was fine, totally fine, living alone. He even got himself a cat, that refused to spend much time with the man. Oh, he was fine. Except for the nights that he accidentally cooked enough for two. His fridge was full of leftovers he didn't have the heart to eat. Oh, and when he went to ask Andrew something, before he remembered.
But, what really broke him was when he accidentally ordered two cups of coffee- One to his order, and one to Andrew. And he was opening the car door to hand Andrew his before he realized. No, he wasn't fine, not at all.
It was that night that he actually did it. He hardly remembered it, until he woke up in a hospital bed, with all sorts of needles poking out of his arms. Ironically, he had been taken to the hospital he worked at. It would have been good for a laugh, if he hadn't learned that he had f---ed his heart up with all the pills he downed. He wondered how he could have messed it up any worse than it already was, after Andrew.
Anyways, he landed himself in an adults mental ward, put in care until he could be cleared as stable. There, he shared a room with a very silent boy, who didn't talk much, but Matthew found stunningly beautiful. And, that thought alone, made his heart hurt. It felt wrong. Still, he couldn't help it. -
