I like my hair the way it is, curly and a mess because I don't have to do anything girly to it. My mom tells me she's going to straighten my hair because she was bored. I told her no and she does it anyways. I argue with her and she doesn't listen.

What?! That's not fair! My hair is curly and I hate it straightened, so I get that. You couldn't run away? D:

No then I would have been grounded from everything I own. I'm seventeen and she treats me like I'm five.

Okay, that's stupid. I'm 18, and my sister still tries to get me to do stuff, but knows she can't make me. What's wrong with your mom? Oh, when's your birthday? XP

My birthday is October 24. My mom has...issues with her kids. I'm the last one out of the nest and I guess she wishes I didn't grow up so fast. But she yells at me for not being an adult about things.

Oh. Damn, they always contradict, don't they? When I was looking into colleges, my parents suggested I stay close because they wouldn't charge rent, so it'd all be cheaper. After I turned 18, I was able to do more: listen to my own music, all that stuff. They basically said to "be grateful they didn't make me pay rent." Now their favorite threat is kicking me out of the house.

My mom wants me to live at the house for a year while I'm going to college, but I want to get a place on my own. She gets into fights with me over what I want to do, I want to be an art teacher she wants me to do more.

Why should she care as long as you're happy? Hey, rent is expensive though :/

Actually there is this apartment place I know where they don't charge alot for rent.
