_Leah_ NewbieA windows eight. My mom bought it yesterday. I have to say, it's a bit hardtop transition from a windows XP to this new s---... I keep making so many damn typos, I look like an idiot, and it took me three minutes to type this.

Never used windows 8, but from what I've seen it's completely dofferent from any other computer software. How's the speed on the new operating system?

_Leah_ Newbie....Actuall, not that good. Well, given what a crappy server I have, it's never good, but it's slower for me. And, it took away some of my most prized possessions, like Microsoft Word.

Does it have a decent notepad?

Notepad works well for most of ones needs unless you want to add images and stuff.
