My mom and I were talking and I told her about wanting to be a lawyer.
She was really enthusiastic about it. More than I expected, really. She said it's great that I want to do that, and that in case when I'm older I can't seem to find the money to start off she'd be willing to help me in the costs of renting a small building for an office because she wanted me to work alone. Which surprised me, I didn't think she'd know I wanted to work on my own in that. ;w;
Then I told her that I wanted to be a mangaka a bit more than a lawyer, and she seemed equally as excited. She said "You know you could be both, the fun thing about being a lawyer is that if you're your own boss you can work the hours you'd like. And it's really not work you haven't done before with me during the last year. So when you have 'freetime' you can work on the other thing. But if you decide to be an artist (she calls it artist >3>;) instead I'll be just as happy with you as long as you chose what you want to do and do it."
I asked her if she thought I could do it though, because you know reality checks are nice, and she said basically that I have a thing for working hard without getting too stressed and that I could do it if I really put my mind to it.
My mom is so supportive, yeah sometimes I get angry at her for being so unfair but she's still there for me when I need her. ;w; She made me feel like I could really tackle this and if I do do it, I won't be alone in supporting myself. -

That is really really awesome, Alice. :'D I think you'll do great at whatever you want to do. It makes me happy to hear things like this and I know you can do it. You're a smart and great person and I just know you have so much potential.
