((I'm trying to be as historically accurate as I can so I apologize if something isn't right. xP))
Nation Name: Slovakia (Slovak Republic)
Human Name: Stefan Kovac (pronounced Shtefan Kovach)
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Birthday: October 28
Hair: Light Brown
Eyes: Lavender-Gray
Height: 5'9"
Personality: When I'm not being OOC with him, he's a generally calm guy. The only times he gets really crazy is when he's drunk. He can be a bit of a cry baby and get angry that he "doesn't get the respect he deserves", but in cases of seriousness he'll work hard and be loyal. In many ways his personality is comparable to Romano; he can get pissed, have a potty mouth, and blame others for the problems in his life. He's actually pretty hard working and enjoys various activities. However, he and Czech are very similar to Veneziano and Romano in the way that Czech is usually seen as the better and more advanced one, while Slovakia often gets left behind.
History: He started out as a small tribe until Great Moravia found him and united him with several other nations, most importantly his brother Czech during this short time. However, Moravia grew weaker and soon Hungary captured the Slovak lands, separating Stefan from his brother once again. He would then spend over 900 years under Hungarian rule.
Because of this, he didn't have much freedom. Miss Hungary tried to do her best to take care of him, especially with invasions from the Mongols and the Ottoman Empire. Later on he lived with both Austria and Hungary until the end of WW1. Stefan was proud to declare his independence from Hungary and was reunited with his brother to form Czechoslovakia. The next years ahead would not be pleasant, though. Nazi Germans and Soviet Communism took turns taking over their land and it wasn't until 1992 when they got to form their two separate nations again. Because of all he's gone through, Stefan has a very hard time trusting people, even if he would like to.
