He changed the "two finger rule" for girls' shirt- sleeves to the "four finger rule" which is REALLY stupid since the school's track team's jersey is three fingers wide, and my lacrosse jersey is four fingers. So if he has a problem with it then he can deal with it. Also, the rule for girls' shorts is that it has to be longer than your finger tips. You have any freaking idea how many girls in my school have long arms? A lot of us. So, some of us practically have to wear shorts down to our knees if we want them to be withing the dress code. And, if any of the teachers stop you and make you put your arms straight down your sides and your shorts are not long enough, rhey make you change. And what most of the girls change into is their gym shorts or their track shorts. And they are almost ALWAYS shorter than their regular shorts. So it's even MORE out of the stupid dress code. Our new AP is a freaking idiot.

That's how my school is. And they can wear athletic shorts as long as they're not too short. And we can't wear yoga pants or leggings.

At my school we can wear yoga pants but yeah. -
That's stupid that you can't wear yoga pants or leggings. Legging are just like skinny jeans. My guy friend has a Morph Suit (which is pretty much a full body spandex suit) and he's not allowed to wear it even though girls are allowed to wear leggings at my school. That's really stupid in my mind.

I would point it out (which I have before) and find some rule in the student handbook to prove your point if there is none (even better) point that out too

Well, this is exactly what the Code of Conduct says:
All students are expected to give proper attention to personal cleanliness and to dress appropriately for school and school functions. Students and their parents have the primary responsibility for acceptable student dress and appearance. Teachers and all other district personnel should exemplify and reinforce acceptable student dress and help students develop an understanding of appropriate appearance in the school setting. A students dress, grooming and appearance, including hair style/color, jewelry, makeup and nails, shall:
1. Besafe,appropriateandnotdisruptorinterferewiththeeducationalprocess.
2. Recognizethatextremelybriefgarmentssuchastubetops,nettops,haltertops,
spaghetti straps, plunging necklines (front and/or back), bare midriffs and see-
through garments are not appropriate.
3. Ensure that underwear is completely covered with outer clothing.
4. Includefootwearatalltimes.Footwearthatisasafetyhazardwillnotbeallowed.
5. Notincludethewearingofhatsorotherheadgearintheclassroomexceptfora
medical or religious purpose.
6. Not include items that are vulgar, obscene, libelous or denigrate others on account
of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
7. Notpromoteand/orendorsetheuseofalcohol,tobaccoorillegaldrugsand/or
encourage other illegal or violent activities.
Each building principal or his or her designee shall be responsible for informing all students and their parents of the student dress code at the beginning of the school year and any revisions to the dress code made during the school year.
Students who violate the student dress code shall be required to modify their appearance by covering or removing the offending item and, if necessary or practical, replacing it with an acceptable item. Any student who refused to do so shall be subject to discipline, up to and including in-school-suspension for the day. Any student who repeatedly fails to comply with the dress code shall be subject to further discipline, up to and including out of school suspension.
So really, it says nothing about specifics such as girls' shorts having to be longer than their finger tips, girls' shirt sleeves having to be two fingers or four fingers or whatever, or guys not being able to wear basketball shirts (another rule) :I -

For me shorts should be at least mid thigh.

It's alright but trust me point it out last year they tried to punish me for something I did I told them the rules never said I couldn't do what I did then I gave them the page number they saw I was right so they let me off scott free but then they changed the rules
