  Jill: What Andi is saying is true. From what I learned in science class, the moon is closer to Earth during the spring and autumnal equinoxes, and farther away during the winter and summer solstices.

  ^ I'm an honor student, and I wear glasses. Typical nerd status, minus the high trousers and braces.
  
  Equinoxes mean equal days and equal nights; solstices mean more days, less nights (summer), and vice versa (more nights, less days=winter).
