Okay, so, this society has created a fake reality inside of a massive dome. Inside this dome, everyone's programmed to feel only a strange, unreal version of happiness and live lives all exactly alike. Only the small government has purposely been given emotions and different lives in order to keep the citizens living there the same.
Since she was a child, [character name A] hasn't followed the structure in the dome. Some part of her has stopped her from becoming one of the mindless citizens. Because of this, she's lived as a fugitive outside the dome, trying to survive.
[character name B] has been sent by the government along with a small group of others to find [A]. Being the first to cope with the emotions and difficulties once outside the dome, he understands why [A] doesn't want to return. [B] is then helping [A] escape the dome's government while trying to not prove himself as a traitor.
Somewhere along the lines of this the dome breaks and they have to get everyone used to the emotions and stuff while the government continues to try to prevent it. -
