I looked up at Colin and smiled. "Yeah, sure what is it?"

"T-there is something wrong-" I stopped myself from saying the rest, I was too scared to tell her

My smile vanished and I looked at him, concern written all over my face. "What's wrong?" I asked gently

I was quiet for a few seconds, "t-t-there is something growing over my eyes, like some kind of film, by now, I don't think there is anything we could really do" I quietly said

I bit my lip. "Growing? Like...a bacteria of some sort?"

I didn't know, I looked away and went silent

I looked at the ground. "I-I'm sorry. Are you going to be okay?"

After nearly a minute, I finally said something, "I am becoming blind"

My mouth dropped slightly and I was speechless for about a minute. "Like, totally blind?"

I nodded and turned away, my eyes were watery

I wasn't sure what to do. I wanted to hug him, but I didn't know if he would find that awkward. I could only stand there and say "I'm sorry."

I sighed and started going to my next class

I slammed the combination lock on my locker shut and jogged to keep up with him. "Is there anything I can do."

"I don't know" I said, "I don't think there really is any way to help" I started crying, tears went down my face

I couldn't help myself now. I threw my arms around him and hugged him.
