I started walking off again, to my next class, the day went by slowly

I knew what classes I was lacking in, and only payed attention in those.

I went to my locker when the the bell rang in the last period, and packed up to go home

I made my way through the groups of kids to my locker, remembering to grab the right books this time.

I had to try a few times to open the locker, I used to be able to do the combination right without even trying

I had to stand on my tip-toes and feel around for my extra pencil, since it was on the top shelf of the locker. I bit my lip and concentrated.

I looked over at Emily, who had a locker near mine, she was trying to get something, I walked over to her, I was just a bit taller then her

I smiled sheepishly at you. "Pencil. Always gets shoved near the back." My fingertips brushed it, but I couldn't grab it.

"I could maybe help" I said

"Oh, um, yes please, it's just the pencil on the... shelf." I got down off my toes and stepped aside to give him room.

I had to stretch my arm a bit far into it, but I got her pencil, and gave it to her
