I jumped back, even though it wasnt even close by, it was loud, "w-what was that" I asked

I groaned, I hadn't meant for it to be so loud. "Some metal I'm trying to bend."

"oh" I said

"Uh huh." I couldn't help but smiling, knowing how good this was going to be when I was finished.

"w-well I took some medicine" I quietly said, I didn't really want there to be the weird silence again

I made a face "Did it taste bad?"

"yes, really bad" I said quietly

"Yeah, I understand that." I didn't want to use the hammer, so I tried to bend the metal.

I realized that it was going to be the weekend tomorrow, "is it ok if I have a sleepover?" I quietly but quickly asked, I regretted saying that, I wasn't sure if we were able to, or even if mom would allow me to

I blushed. "Sounds good to me, Eric won't care."

I quickly went downstairs, but almost tripped, I couldn't really see right, "mom! is it ok if I sleep over at a friend's house?" I asked, I was excited, my mom looked worried, but she nodded anyway, "pack up what you need, but be really careful" she said

I grabbed my phone and texted Eric, letting him know what was going on. I transferred the call to my cell phone instead of the laptop and went to clean up the house a bit

I was thinking hard, and trying to remember how to get to emily's house, I got what I needed and put it in a bag, including my stuffed wolf that I named icicle, and my own pillow

I balanced the phone between my shoulder and cheek as I cleaned up. "Do you want us to pick you up or something?"

"I am walking to your house" I said, I was out of my house by then, I was glad I packed up the charger for my iphone, because the battery was low, I walked a bit faster
