Calypso strolled down the hallway of Jackson High, keeping her head up, ignoring the jeers and catcalls. "What happened to your hair? Mom throw you in the washer and the color drained out of it?"
Typical stuff. At least she was smart, more than they could say. She headed right down to math, keeping her books tight to her chest.
