I bit my lip, wondering if I should go and say hello. I was wearing grey sweat pants and a black hoodie. I was never the girls type, I used to hang out more with guys. That's where I met.. J-Jason.. I tried fighting back my tears. I jumped at the knock if the door. "Come in.." I half yelled and half whispered.
"Hey, honey. Maybe you'd like to go and give our new neighbors some of our cup cakes?" She asked enthusiastically, hoping for me to get up and become somewhA social since the 'incident'.
"But.. Mom.." I groaned.
"Nope. Macy it's final!" She said, setting the cup cakes in my night stand. "Now, go on. They don't bite."
I rolled my eyes, getting up and walking like a zombie. I didn't wanna go. What's he point anyway?
"Haha. Very funny." I air quoted the word, 'funny' sarcastically.
I made my way grabbing the cup cakes, to the blue-ish house on the right side of my green-ish house. I took a deep breath, before knocking lightly on the wooden door. I swallowed hard, gazing at my feet. -
*Girly
*of
*somewhat. -
I heard a knock onto the door. "I'll get it!" I shouted and got up and answered it. It was a girl holding cupcakes. "You're not trying to bribe into being a Jehovah Witness? Right?" I joked.
-
I raised an eyebrow. "Huh?" I asked, feeling my cheeks turn a crimson color.
-
"It was a joke.." I smiled. "But thanks for the cupcakes."
-
"Right." I bit my lip. "Your welcome. Welcome to our neighborhood. I live right there." I pointed to a light green house. "You need anything and we'll be glad to help." I stated politely.
-
"Sweet. Thanks." I said. "Well, is that all?"
-
"I guess so." I scratched my neck. 'Rude much?' I thought to my self.
-
"Well ok. Thanks again.." I said, slowly closing the door.
-
"Bye." I simply said before returning to my room, and my thoughts to Jason.
-
"Hey mom! Neighbors got us cupcakes!" I shouted, setting them on the counter.
"That's good." mom said, unpacking a couple small things. -
I sat down on my bed, looking through random photos of me and him. Tears streaming down my cheeks seeing him and me making silly faces.
-
"So why didn't you hang out with them?" my mom asked. "You aren't doing anything else." I shrugged. "Go hang with them. Who knows? They could become your bestfriends."
"Ok..." I sighed. -
I cuddled with a ready bear. The last one he gave to me. His words were still fresh on my mind even after 3 years.. The last 'I love you' still replayed into my mind..
-
I got up, and walked towards the house that the nice girl showed me. I knocked confidently.
