I smiled and hugged him back, rubbing his back comfortingly. "You're welcome."

I turned my face, tears in my eyes, yet gently smiling.

I smile again. "Ah, don't cry."

"But they were so mean..." I hugged him tighter, closing my eyes.

I looked off into the distance and nodded. "Lots of people will be mean. We just gotta learn to deal with it."

"I know..." I whispered. "You'd think police officers would know better..." I wiped a single tear from my eye.

I nodded and gently let go. "Yeah. C'mon, let's go return these."

"Alright..." I replied. I gazed in the direction of the police station.

I grabbed my stuff, keeping the handcuffs. "Ready?"

I nodded. All I'd come to the lake with was my clothes. "Yeah.."

"You gonna be okay wet?"

(Dirty thought. xP)
"Yeah. The sun might dry me before we get there anyway.." -
(xD I know, I thought that as soon as I hit "Submit.") xDD
"Okay, let's go." I started walking in that direction. -

I followed just slightly behind him. My eyes occasionally glanced at his hand. -
Oh god... xD. His hand?
I kept walking, eyes straight forward, already planning what I was going to say.
