Donovan smiled at Cameron, glad that he was getting more comfortable now.

After a while, Cameron's eyes had closed and he fell asleep on the couch.

Once he realized Cameron fell asleep, he got a blanket and draped it over him, then sat down in one of his chairs and changed the channel to some chick flick.

For a while his sleep seemed peaceful, but he started to look as if he was having a nightmare, barely muttering audibly.

Donovan didn't notice at first, but as the movie ended, he heard Cameron muttering.

Yes. Sorry I didn't revive them last night I got busy with my dog. .w.
Within slurred, tired murmurs, Cameron started to say something more coherently. "Leave me alone...leave me alone!" -
It's fine, I understand. Getting preoccupied with a dog is something that often happens with me now.
Donovan had a slightly worried look on his face. "Cameron..?" he said quietly, still sitting in the chair he had previously been lounging in. -
Yeah. They can be cute little troublemakers. owo
Jumping slightly awake, the blonde groaned and held a hand to his head, trying to calm down and realize where he was. "D-Donovan..?" -
"Yes? I'm right here." he said, giving a small wave to Cameron. "Are you okay?"

"They were trying to take me away..." He reasoned, thinking about the dream. "To the auction. It was dark except for a blurring spotlight. I thought I was getting over these nightmares."

Donovan frowned and was silent for a moment. "Do you know of anything that can cheer you up?"

"Not really..." He looked away, thinking. "I just need to get my mind off it. Did I sleep very long?"

"About two hours." he said. He didn't know what else to say. Despite being friendly, he was still kind of awkward.

Cameron nodded, trying to relax on the couch again. He wasn't too bothered by the awkwardness, happy that he at least seemed to be in a safe place. "You don't know how thankful I am to have escaped. No one should be forced to be in such a line of work. I really just want to live as normal of a life I can from now on." He admitted, not used to confiding in others, especially someone he had just met, but he felt like he could trust Donovan.
