"Ill take it," I say, stepping past you. -
(Absolutely!)
I stare at the ground. "Okay." I say quietly -
I pick up the last bit of muffins and scones and walk back, looking at you out of the corner of my eye.

I watch you and place the container/display on the counter.

I stock the display in front and walk back to the kitchen.

I follow you back to the kitchen, keeping my hand on the counter. "What can I do?"

"I dont know. Everything looks good here"

I glance at the clock. "So as soon as the floor dries, we'll open up then?"

"guess so, about 20 minutes?" I ask, looking at the clock too.

I nod. "Okay." For some odd reason, I could feel myself slipping back into the 'shy, quiet girl' mode. I was teased endlessly about that.

I lean against the wall, "so a little bird tells me you got an award"

Dammit, I had been trying all morning to figure out how to word my question/statement, and hadn't come up with anything. I look at you. "Uhh.. why did you...how...did..." I sighed.

"Can neither confirm nor deny" I say with a smile.

I look up at you and smile a little. "Why did you change our names?"

"What do you mean?" I keep smiling.
