"Superbowl, moon edition part 1"
[I]moon, 2027[/i]
Swift bent down to pick up a moon rock.
It was day 2 of being on t moon with Artemis 3. But, for some reason, NASA decided it was a smart idea to send teens to the moon. Okay.... Then, swift took a test. She didn't do bad. Not bad at all. So she got selected. Along with 3 other 13 year olds. Yeah, except that the crew wasn't very.. Yknow...inspiring. There was Sheldon, the smart guy. He could finish calculations before swift could start thinking. Then there was gissella. She was just... There. Your average 'popular kid', but forced to be with nerds. Then Jon. Oh god, Jon. This guy was basicly as close to a risk taker to can get. He smuggled a family size bag of chips to the moon in his space suit
A walking disaster. Not even Sheldon could predict what would happen if he was in the room. Tn there was mission control, who everyone called 'houston' , the President, who got them into this mess, and NASA dude, CEO of NASA
"Hey swift!" Jon said, without yelling. Their spacesuits radio could catch everything, no over the wind yelling required.
Swift bent up to a walking postion to see where jon was. Everything was normal. Black space suit, gold helmet reflecting the earth, Artemis 3 mission patch. But there was something brown and wight in his hand.

Mission control collectively loses it.
Elena kross is your average 14 year old. Pigtail buns. Suit with a tie. Just that she works for NASA. As a flight director. She's thr boss of everyone.
She was sitting at her desk, silently listening to the buzz of the control room when the astronsut pulled out a football. Elena was too busy doing paper work until EECOM, a shy kid named kai Thompson, tapped her on the shoulder and pointed to the big screen in front of everyone. She looked up, then immediately jamp out of her chair. The room erupted in talking and yelling.
"Oxygen levels are stable... Mental health, no" eecom said
"H-how did he gethat? I-i thought I looked through everything!" Another shy kid, Vienna greber asked. She was payload specialist
"This wasn't a part of the timeline." A annoyed flight operations, Michelle chotti huffed.
"This is a all time low." Flight surgeon, Pierre(though he went by pi) anderson said. Ironicly, he was friend with jon.
"Uh, as you can see, we have a tiny problem but will fix it shortly!" Rosalind "Rosa' lutz , who was public affairs officer, told the public. "This is a learning experience, and nothing will go wrong!"
Elrna sighed. She then proceeded to slam both of her hands on the table. Mission control went silent immediately. When she did this, they knew she went beisness.
"CAPCOM." Elena said in a leveled voice.
"Ready" CAPCOM Chris scheele said. Capcom meant he talked to the astronauts and was the voice of the mission control.
"Find out where jon got that football from."
"Copy"

"jon where on the-" swift began but got interrupted by a noise.
"Artemis 3, Houston" Chris's steady voice came over the intercom
"Copy" swift replyed.
"Director wants to know where you got that football from"
"Where did the chips come from?" Jon's voice broke into their conversation. Even though Jon's helmet had gold on it to block harmful radiation from the sun, swift could tell he was grinning.
Houston went silent for a moment tn came back on. "Did you smuggle it?"
"Yeah, DUH! Where else would I hide it?" Jon exclaimed
"And what exactly was your intention for it...?"
"Uh..."
Houston at silent again then came back
"Director wants swift to have control of t situation"
"Bro, why does she get to have command? Like, all the time?"
"Because she's flight commander?"
Jon huffed. Houston went silent again, and probably not speak for some time.
"What did you really want to do with it?" Swift asked.
Jon's helmet glinted the sun off his visor. "Superbowl, moon edition"
"Ooohhhh god." Swift heard anotr voice. She turned around to see her mission specialist, gissella.
"This will not end well." She brought her gloved hand up to her face, but just bonked her helmet instead.
"There is a 72.7 chance this will end badly" another astronaut appeared behind her. It was sheldon, speaking mathimaticly again.
"What...if we move farther away? So we don't damage any equipment?" Swift asked. She wanted to entertain this idea.
"Less."sheldon said "but theirs still a chanc-"
"Okay! Then let's go!" Jon said, hopping over to lunar outpost, their moon buggy. He fell multiple times but got up nonedeless. Gissella and Pearson gave each other looks, though they couldn't see each otr through their visors said: 'this will not end well' -
"Wait" swift said. "Not all four of us can fit in lunar outpost. We'll walk"
"Bruv, what?" Jon replyed. "That will take forever-"
"Do you want to play or not?"
"Ughhhh fine."
So they walked. A lot. They walked until the lunar lander became a speck in the background. Swift nodded.
"Teams?" Swift asked jon.
"I don't care what teams there are, as long that I anit with him" gissella butted in, pointing to jon.
"Fine."jon said. "Swifts with me and your with Sheldon"
"Do I have to play? There a a high possablity that this will-" sheldon said
"Yes. Now come on."
They arranged themselfs into a football formation as best as they could.
"Those two craters are your goals, and these two are ours." Jon said, waveing his arms at Sheldon and gissella. Sheldon gave a tumbs up.
"HIKE!" Jon said, throwing the football.
It flew over Sheldon's and gissellas heads. Then kept flying. Gissella and sheldon turned around to see the football flying into space like a plane.
"Oops" jon said.
"Congrats, you accived lunar orbit" swift said, rolling her eyes.
"Actually, its very hard to get into lunar orbit. The football will probably keep flying for a kilometer or so until it lands." Sheldon corrected swift.
"Yeah basicly, you lost the ball, jon. " gissella said.
Jon stared out to where it flew, then turned to face the lander and hopped away.
"Oh well. Right, imma go eat some chips" jon said.

"Post Artemis III: school"
Chapter/part 1
[I]Earth, 2027, after Artemis III[/i]
Elenas home.
Elena buryed her face in her pillow.
She was tired from all the choas of post-artemis III press conferences, presidential dinners, and constant notifications blowing up her phone. Don't get her wrong, she was happy witth all the fame, but mabey could they tune it down a little more?
At first, her phone blew up with notifications so quickly that when it dinged, another notification came so her phone sounded like 'd-d-d-d-d-d-ding!' 90% of the time. Thankfully, it subsided a little once NASA dude told the press and people not to bombard the teens emails with questions.
Elena picked up her phone and stared at it. A photo stared back.
It was the one from the dinner with the president of the united sates of america. Everyone-ground control, the crew itself, NASA dude, the president- were standing outside of the wighthouse, grinning. Elena saw herself, squashed between the president and swift, one of the astronauts, in the front. The astronauts changed into their training clothes, but everyone else was wearing a suit or a fancy dress.
'Ding!' Her phones notification system blasted.
"Yeah I get it." Elena said, sitting up straight in her pj's."give me a minute, will ya?"
She took her phone and unlocked it. She opened her group chat with everyone in ground crew plus the astronauts were in there. It was simmer break, so if this was a normal group chat, everyone would be pindrop silent, or talking about summer break plans.
Everyone one was doing the dead opposite.
Alexander, who was flight dynamics, was typeing in all caps about how the rocket science question NASA dude gave him was basicly the Apollo 14 flight plan. Morr, who was command and data officer was argueing with Jessi, the control and radio, how Artemis III data suggested it would of failed if it did this or that. Jon, a astronaut, was saying how the chips from space are stale to kai, the eecom. Gissella, a astronaut, was talking to Rosa, the POA (public affairs officer) how all this popularity reminded her of school.
Elena sighed because all the texts in the group chat were making it lag hard. So she decided to open her emails.
It was also lagging from the 321 new emails she got but never bothered to open. She rolled her eyes and decided to answer as many as she could.
The easy questions you could answer with a quick Google search, she threw a message saying to look on NASA website. The harder ones she answered truthfully, and the ones from racist news channels she answered with "sorry, but because I get so many questions, I won't be able to answer that"
She scrolled until she found a interesting one. But she decided to open it with all of the crew, so she hopped on teams and called everybody.
Everyone picked up.
"Your not going to believe this, but all of us got a scholarship" elena said. -
"Post artemis III: school"

"Well..." Elena said " 'kraknam teck is a state of the art private highschool, excelling in the mathematics, sciences, art, and many more study's' do you guys think you guys can?"
"..maybe." Chris Scheele, the capcom said.
"Well, if all us can..., nobody will be lonely." Elena was surprised that the voice came from payload officer Vienna. She was a shy kid who didn't speak that often. Elena could see she was sitting on her bed, wearing a heavy hoodie and sketching in a notebook.
"Do they offer courses in rocket science?" A smart talkive astronaut named sheldon asked.
"You know, despite going to the moon, we are still teens, right?" Swift, another astronaut reminded sheldon.
"Yo director, are you wearing PJs?" Another astronaut said. He was on a sofa, stuffing his face with chips.
Elena blushed and turned on the blur background feature. Then glared at jon. He dropped the subject.
"Well, how was your last two weeks at school?" Elena asked them.
"Hell." Swift said bluntly "I was always surrounded with a mob of students, asking for my autograph and other stupid things. And the teachers are giveing me double the homework and math than done else."
"Same"jon said, stuffing another chip in his mouth "exept the teachers are absolute ducking idiots. They keep asking me for my autograph and other garbage like that."
"M-my friends left me." Gissella, the last astronaut in t group, said. "Everyone ethier loves me or hates me. Everyone has high expectations of me. I-i hate this"
Then group call was silent after what the astronauts said. Elena gulped.
"Anything else anybody wanted to say? Ground crew?"
"Well, now I can explain exactly how a radio works, NASA style" Jessi, control and radio officer, laughed bitterly "but i douth how thats goingo help me"
"People stay away from me though." Sydney, who goes by Syd and is the propulsion officer, said proudly, puffing up his chest.
"Really? Is it because your so stinky?" Jessi asked
"No. There was a rumor going around the school that I had access to NASA rockets"
"...And?" Elena prompted
"Well basically" kai busted in "he explained how to blow up a city with using a v2 rockets with truster and the sorts. During math class. So the math teacher over heard and ran the calculations on a good computer, and it turns out he was deadon. Everyone is afraid of him"
"Same. Except it was with human stuff." Flight surgeon pierre, (though he goes by pi) said.
"What did you do now..."Elena asked
"I explained how to cut someone open- aghhh I forgot the word. Whatever- without damageing the organs. My science teacher says I would have a good career in forensic pathology. Whatever that is." Pi explained
Elena groaned. Why did these guys have to do things to distroy their reputation?
"It was very detailed. I probably shouldn't of told it to popular queen bee, but eh, at least she leaves me alone now" pi added. -
(Oh wow, I need to take some writing lessons....😭😓)

"Great job, pi! I want to be like you" said saffron, the science officer. She was siting under a tree, wearina light blue hijab that reminded elena of the sky.
"Oh god this ist goinh to endwell..."dendre, the recovery team lead groaned.
"Hey, can we bring the disscusion back to the privet school?" Ground control, who was Jeff, asked. "Cuz, like, I have tons of homework to do. I cant waste time talking about how your lives suck"
"Umm.. Yeah, good idea!" Elena said. She could hear that the mic picked up something like "stupid teachers, assigning so much homework.." From Jeff.
"The school has already sent us paper regarding our registration. It looks like they are very encourageing on enrolling us there" Charlie, a nerd booster said. He pulled a paperrom outside of the screen. He pushed up his glasses and silently read what was on it to himself.
"So. Scholarship. I will call in 3 hours, and if you dont have a answer.." Elena said. Swift gave a easy salute. Saffron nofded.
Elena ended the call -

3 hours later...
Elena called. Again.
"Okay what do you want-" Michelle, the flight ops lead asked.
"Scholarship." Elena said bluntly
"Director,If you want a scholarship, you camr to the wrong pers-" michella said jessi her cut off.
"Girl, she means if you want to go to the school or not" Jessi said, tucking her hair behind her ears with both of her hands
"Oh yeah that thing. Yup. I can go" Michelle said, crossing her arms around her chest like this was final
"Okay.. Can all of you guys go...?" Elena asked. Everyone was nodding their heads or saying something like 'yup'
"Great! I guess I will see you guys there. "Elena moved to end the group chat call but swift called out.
"Director? "Swift asked
"Yes...?" Elena asked.
"8 need to tell everyone something. Yo guys, yknow were going to get used to calling each other by our names? Cuz we can't start yelling 'YO GUIDANCE, NAVIGATION AND CONTROL!' Down the hall." Swift exclaimed
Elena held back a chuckle at the thought of swift running in a school hallway chaseing down victor while yelling NASA slang.
"Also, were going to have to blend in." Dendre said. "Not so much for so called 'useless people' like me, recovery team lead, but more for the astronauts, and PAO and people who had their face broadcasted around the world"
"And seating plans. We need seating plans. And popularity." Alex said.
"Eh, forget being popular." Gissella said, wavering her hand around uselessly.
"Tryed it- it was okay, but their are.. Standards"
"Throwing that idea to Venus." Pi said. "We don't need popularity. We have to much. We just need our NASA rocket science questions. And snacks"
"YEAHHHH!!"Jon and pi said at the same time. Jon loved snacks-so much he was willing to smuggle them into space. And break several NASA rules. And endangere the mission.
The crew continued to talk for a hour until elena ended the call. She gulpef-only two weeks until school- no private school starts. She knows she's going to have a uniform, and take a bus to school.
!elena survived sending teens to the moon, she was 100% sure shed peak this high school-right? -
Part 4
2 weeks later...
Elena stood awkwardly in front of the school.
There was still a decent amount of time left till it started. Elena pulled at her skirt. She hated skrits with a burning passion. She look at her surroundings.
In the courtyard, there were little groups of people, normally all girls or all boys, and a few couples. Elena almost gaged. She also hated highschool romantic relationships. There were trees and grass. Elena hugged her book closer to her chest.
See, the thing with elena and other people was she wasnt that funny. Or a people person she really tried. But that natural flow of words didnt come to her like how it did to swift or Rosa, the pao. Most of the conversations she had ended with awkward standing around. She couldn't think of anything. But only in professional sectors she was able to talk evenly. She didn't have to think about lots of myself relatef things when she was at NASA. She just had to find the problem, fix it, then tell people how to fix it. She was a professional.
"Hey dir-i mean-elena! Over here!" She heard. She turned to the direction of the voice and found a few of the ground crew. She happliy made het way to them, knowing she would be at home with them -
"Soooo, anything good happening with you guys?" Elena asked as they walked down the halls.
Elena's little group was only 7 people. Saffron, Michelle, charlie, Vienna, Jeff and dendre. They walked down the halls in two little groups.
Elena noticed vienna srunk down a little bit. She wondered why but then looked around. People were in front of their lockers but thier looks said everything. Curiosity, confusion, and.. Disgust?
Elena pushed the thought out of her mind. But then another piped in her mind. Where is her crew.
'Ah, forget it.' Elena thought 'they wento t moon, they can deal with a few curious students,cant they?'
Elena looked down at the paper in he hand. It had her secedual on it. She gulped. She sped walked past Jeff and charlie, who were at the front, talking about aeronautics.
"Hey- director? Where are ya going?" Jeff asked speeding up to catch elena.
" i need to get to my class, before inlose myself here" elena said. Jeff cringed, she wasn't intirely wrong. This place made Elena's old school look like a broom closet
"Okay..." Jeff said "uh, meet us at the door in the cafeteria. Along with the other ground crew people you find, okay?"
Elena did a quick nod the sped off to her homeroom.

Rosa stifled a laugh.
She was in history, sitting beside 4 of her new friends. Maple, one of them had passed her a note.
Turns out that Chris, who had been sitting on her right, her her and gave r a look that said 'focus! You know the most of all people how w e have to live up to expectations. We didnt come here for nothing!'
Rosa filled but gave a look that said 'yeah, just gimmie a minute, will ya?'
Chris gave a little harump but returned to his paper, which was covered in drawings of Artemis 3 launch rocket, the space launch system, or SLS. sometimes rosa asked herself if there's such a thing to be too obsessed with other space.
Answer: no.
That's what it seams with the ground crew. Thats all they talk about. Sometimes rosa wants a break, you know?
But ethier way, rosa has these morans to deal with.
But that's all she needs.
