Silent flight, winding stairs. Creaks of boards beneath her feet. Above and below music flows through the air. The symphony continues undisturbed. Violins cry mournfully, while triumphant basses belt out loud notes that bludgeon the air. The dance began tonight and will last for eternity. The book thuds closed and a woman sighs. She throws the book down onto the floor next to her. She rubs her eyes and yawns. "What a dreadfully dull book. I have all the time in the world... yet I don't want another second of it wasted reading that tripe." The woman stands up and observes herself in the mirror. The gray hoodie she's wearing is really loose and hangs off of her Her eyes are a glinting silver thanks to the contacts she's wearing. Her hair, styled into twin tails, dances gleefully every time she moves.
Written on a note that adorns the mirror is a simple, solitary letter: G. The girl who once had it all and no longer had anyone. She left everything she ever knew. It was better if she wasn't around anymore. She remembers it vividly- the day she murdered her parents. It wasn't unmentionable, it wasn't her goal. It, like many bad things, occurred by chance.
