(Medieval, Action, Adventure)
Two mercenaries are hired to retrieve an heirloom of a man. A black dagger with silver edges and a golden handle. They both work together to acquire the dagger, only to find out that the man who stole it in the first place was the dark wizard 'Merth.' The item cursed the both of them and they must search the world for the cure to the dark curse before it consumes them both. -
What if Merth always has a shadow cast on his face so nobody can see what he looks like? Or what if he's another creature?

And for the curse, they deal with something sort of like the geostigma from Final Fantasy 7, where Merth gets into their heads, haunts them in their dreams, drains them of their life, and drives them to insanity. The cure can only be found in a secret spell or something like that. But the spell is so powerful that there are people after the two mercenaries that want to stop them from obtaining the spellbook to learn the spell. And there are others who learn of the spellbook's existence and want to obtain it for evil. The spell is a double-edge purge spell that is the only spell strong enough to defeat Merth. But in the wrong hands, it can destroy the planet itself.

Can we also make the man who has the heirloom evil? He secretly is also a wizard whose powers were sealed into the book of dark magic that the two mercenaries must find to purge their curse. The man is using them to find the book so he can regain his powers. Both he and Merth want to rule the world, and they're enemies. It's like a 3-way battle.

all this sounds cool and i'm down, but how do you wanna split the roles? can we both actively write about the villians' actions or do you wanna play one villian and i play the other, as well as our mercenaries?

also, i could be totally wrong here but it sounds to me you might already have an idea about what kind of character you're gonna make. i'm making a character from scratch and i think it might be more useful for me to know what they're like (if you know) so i can make a character that creates an interesting relationship dynamic

like, if you're gonna make a super serious and broody character, i don't know if i want my character to also be like that. and vice versa. i kinda want them to be somewhat like opposites attract if that's cool?

Also, for my character, I've had this one for a while. I'm obsessed with him.
So, he's non human. He looks more like an elf with fangs.
I have his character info somewhere. I'll dig it up.
He's more mysterious and snarky. His humor is dry. He's pretty much a tsundere. He kind of does whatever he wants, like an anti-hero. His motives are sometimes unclear while other times it's more hero aligned. His a mage with dark magic, but the spells in this book are ones even he doesnt know. -

Also wears a silver moon pendant at the V-neck of the cloak.

personality: skye likes to consider themselves a good person, although they're aware that they have different moral values than some. they are talkative and outgoing yet not boisterous, kind and generous yet not naive. they defend the defenseless with all their heart and are always willing to lend a helping hand, even if doing so would be inconvenient. they try to have a good relationship with animals, children, the elderly, and whoever else wishes to cause no harm. however, skye is cold, ruthless, and brutal towards their targets when they switch into work mode, quietly taking care of them in the night away from public view.

in their human form, skye has a medium-brown skin tone with dark brown eyes and dark brown 3b type hair that falls just past their shoulders. they have a toned, muscular build with well-sculpted muscles and abs and are roughly 5'8" tall. most of the time, their clothes are comfortable but practical - a simple fitted black t-shirt that cuts off just at the midriff, low-hanging blue jeans with a medium brown belt and black combat boots. they wear two army green thigh-bags, one on each thigh, and filled with ammo and basic medical supplies respectively. they also wear knee-pads and a backpack in the same army green. lastly, they have a pair of black fingerless gloves, black sunglasses, and wear a silver dog-tag necklace around their neck. skye always carries their large rifle with them, strapped around one shoulder.

- skye was born into a family of werehyena merceneries, notorious for hunting down and stealing from normal humans. from a young age, they were always taught how to fight and to extort, using their human form to their advantage. but skye didn't want to live their life being the bad guy, and decided to escape from their family. their family is ruthless with a lot of connections, so they're still constantly on the move while hiding from them
- they work independently as their own merc now, accepting "hits" for well-known thieves, murderers and/or r*pists. they consider themselves "revenge for hire"
- is the second-youngest of four siblings. has two older brothers and one younger sister
- has basically mastered the use of various firearms by this point, and has considerable knowledge in hand-to-hand combat as well
- has a really hard time sitting still, will literally do push-ups in the middle of a conversation to keep themselves busy
- is almost exclusively a carnivore, their favorite meats being game meat like deer, and beef
- skye is not religious, in fact they're quite skeptical about anything they can't see with their own eyes -
The "not religious" part is hilarious because Shiva is an actual god. He just doesn't know how to fully tap into that. 😂

So is Skye mainly in their human form? If so, that makes things a lot easier to describe. And do they wear shades all the time?

ah yes! they can freely shapeshift between both forms, but choose to only enter their hyena state during the night and while working. during most other times they’ll be in their human state

and the shades are more for fashion than anything, often times just sitting above their forehead but they’ll wear them when it’s sunny
