Hogwarts Love Story: Part 1(by WarriorsLover66)

Today, I’m going to try a different type of love story: Harry Potter! You are Scarlet Wood, a half-blood witch. Your mother is magical and your father is a Muggle. Your house is Gryffindor, and your wand is 11 inches, with rowan wood and a phoenix feather core.

Your 2 friends are Violet(Gryffindor) and Maggie(Ravenclaw). There are 3 boys: Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, Ron Weasley, and Draco Malfoy. You don’t see Draco, but you will in Part 2.

  1. When you were born, your parents were very happy. They decided to name you Scarlet, so your full name is Scarlet Wood. As you grow a bit older you begin to notice more things about your self and your family... So what is your blood-status?
  2. Soon, you turn 5 years old. You've also recently used magic for the first time. When the neighbours big dog was barking at you and scaring you, you were suddenly able to jump all the way across the neighbour’s garden and into your own. You are playing in the garden by yourself while your parents are doing yard work. What game are you playing?
  3. You decide to fight a dragon. As you send magical spells flying toward the dragon you jump back and forth dodging its tail claws and teeth. When it sends flames roaring at you, you conjure a magical shield. The fight goes on for a long time until both you and the dragon are getting tired. Did you win the fight? Remember, this is pretend!
  4. *6 years later* Today is your 11th birthday, and as expected a large tawny owl arrives with your first letter from hogwarts, which far outshines every other birthday gift - even the new Nimbus 2000 from your mom and dad.
  5. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Headmistress: Minerva McGonagall Dear Scarlet Wood,We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.Yours sincerely,Pomona Sprout Deputy HeadmistressThe second page with requirements says:Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry UNIFORM: First-year students will require: 1.Three sets of plain work robes (black) 2.One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear 3.One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar) 4.   6. You gasp as you enter Diagon alley, it's full of witches and wizards, but you don't have much time to take in the sights before your mother looks at you. "What should we get now?" she asks.
  7. You decide to get your wand first. As you enter Ollivanders wand shop you are greeted by an old man. "Starting at Hogwarts?" he asks, but continues before you have a chance to answer, "let's hope we can find the right wand for you." You're not exactly sure what to say to this, as you're not sure you can tell the difference between a right and a wrong wand. Apparently the old man wasn't expecting an answer anyway as he is already handing you a wand, which you take and wave a bit, before he takes it back and gives you a new one. This continue for about 20 wands before he gives you a rather nice wand of chocolate-colored wood. Somehow it seems warmer than the other ones and when you wave it red sparks fly from it. You look at Ollivander who's smiling, "Rowan wood, 11 inches with a phoenix feather core, nice and supple." You feel relieved to have finally found the right wand, as you were beginning to think you'd be spending the rest of your life trying different wands. As your mother pays for the wand you put it in your pocket and smile at the thought that you now have a real magical wand.
  8. Next, your mother tells you she will get your schoolbooks while you and your dad go to the uniform store. You enter Madam Malkin's robes for all occations where you are measured by a witch, who then tell you to wait a bit. 30 minutes later you leave with your new Hogwarts uniform.
  9. You decide to get a pet next, and there were 2 pets available. There was a ginger cat named Lava, and a snowy owl named Frost. You decide to take Frost.
  10. Soon, it was September 1st. You were on the train. There were 3 train compartments to sit at. The first one was filled with older students, they were either 15 or 16. The second one was empty, and the 3rd compartment had 2 girls sitting in it, which do you sit at?
  11. You decide to sit with the 2 girls. You decide to go and sit with the two girls your own age. They welcome you into their compartment. "I'm Violet." one of them says. She has short black hair and is wearing glasses. "I'm Maggie." the other says. She has a long blonde braid and freckles.
  12. They tell you a bit about themselves. Violet is from the pure-blood Burke faimly, has two older brothers who're starting their 4th and 7th year at Hogwarts. She seems to know a lot about Hogwarts from them.Maggie is muggle-born from the Peter family. She doesn't know anything about magic or Hogwarts, and is worried about everyone else knowing more about such things than her. You and Violet attempt to cheer her up by explaining, that there are lots of muggle-born students at Hogwarts. Though she doesn’t seem completely convinced she's glad you tried at least.
  13. When the train arrives it's already getting dark. An enormous man, who introduces himself as professor Hagrid leads you and the other first-years into some small boats, which take you across a big lake to a castle, which you assume to be Hogwarts. Professor Hagrid leads you to a large entrance hall, where a squat woman with short grey hair greets you. "I'm Professor Sprout." she says with a smile. "In a few moments you will each be sorted into one of Hogwarts 4 houses. For those who do not know, the houses are Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. You will be sharing your dormitories and taking your classes with your housemates, so the sorting s very important." She leaves the room and you, along with everyone else. You wonder how they will determine your house.About 5 minutes later - though it seems like forever - professor Sprout returns and tells all of you to form a line, as she opens a door into a different room.Walking behind a tall brown-haired boy, you enter the great hall to see the rest of the school sitting at 4 large tables. They're all watching the line of first-years making it's way to stand in front of the teachers table.
  14. Professor Sprout carries a hat, which she puts on a stool in front of everyone. Everyone looks at the hat, so you do too. You soon find out why, as the hat starts singing. "New students of this great old schoolnow put me on - it is the ruleI will decide where you belongand I have never yet been wrongIn Ravenclaw you may be putif you are smart and love the books.If about facts you're never wrongThen Ravenclaw's where you belong. Gryffindor might be your home.It's where the bravest people roam.If you dare what others fearyou will find friends and equals here.In Slytherin you will belongif you are the cunning one.If Power matters most to you,then Slytherin will suit you too.Finally there's Hufflepuffif you play fair and never bluff.If kindness is what matters most,then Hufflepuff will be your host." When the hat finished, everyone claps. A boy looks in your direction. He has jet-black hair and a lightning-shaped scar on his head. He introduces himself as Harry Potter.
  15. The older students and teachers applaud, as the hat finishes it's song. You're simply relieved that all you have to do is put a hat on. Professor Sprout stands and reads from a roll of parchment: "When I call your name, you will step forward and put the hat on. You will be called in alphabetical order."You realise, that this means you'll be one of the last."Burke, Violet" she begins.after a while the sorting hat cries out: "Gryffindor!""Cadden, Matthew"this time the hat immediately shouts "Slytherin". Soon, Maggie was called up. She fidgets in her seat while the hat mumbles something, then it shouts “RAVENCLAW!!” Maggie joins the Ravenclaws. The process continues until it's your turn.You step forward, and put the hat on. The hat whispers in your ear. “You’re brave, shy, smart, and a little sly too. Do you not want to be in a specific house?” “Slytherin.” You answer. “Ok then, you will be a GRYFFINDOR!!!” Everyone claps as you sit next to Violet at the Gryffindor table. She smiles, and a red-headed boy claps you on the back and introduces himself as Ron Weasley.
  16. Soon, the feast was over and Professor McGonagall said her speech. The Gryffindor prefect, Percy Weasley told you to follow him to the Gryffindor common room.
  17. When everyone seems to be there, the two prefects tell you their names are Percy and Tracey. They also tell you to come to them with any problems or questions you might have while at the school. As no one says anything they lead you out the great hall and up several flights of stairs. "Everyone gets lost in the beginning" Tracey says, as she pushes a brick, making a secret door appear, which leads through a short passage to a corridor with several statues of what appears to be dragons."The entrance to the commonroom is right down here." Tracey says, as she turns down a hallway ending in a large painting of a lady in a pink dress."New first-years?" the painting says, making some students jump."Oh, we should probably have told those of you who're muggle-born - Magical paintings talk and move." Percy laughs from the back of the group.Tracey tells the painting a password - venomous tentacula - making it swing back to reveal an opening. Tracey climbs through, and the rest of you follow.
  18. In the common room, you notice another boy. He had brown hair and gray eyes. He was reading a book of herbology. “Hello, I’m Neville Longbottom. I’m a first-year. What’s your name?” “I’m Scarlet Wood, and I’m a half-blood, with my mother being magical while my father is not.” What do you think?
  19. The girls' dormitories are up this staircase, and the boys' are up that one." Tracey says when you've all entered the common room. "I'd recomend getting a good night's sleep before your first lessons tomorrow, but if you want you can hang out in the common room a bit first." As you're pretty tired and you’ve already seen the common room, you decide to go straight to your dormitory. You and Violet go up the stairs to the girls dormitory together. When you get there, you see a line of beds with luggage piled up next to each of the beds. Your luggage is next to the second bed, and Violet's is next to the third.When you lie down you say goodnight to the others before going to sleep.
