Sebastian rolled their eyes.

Vincent stood up once he’d finished and walked back to the main room.

Sebastian followed him. "Are we doing welding now?"

‘If you want to,’ Vincent said.

Sebastian shrugged. "I don't have anything else to do, so sure."

‘Alrighty!’ Vincent said, grabbing a blowtorch and chucking some goggles at Sebastian. He walked to the corner of the room and opened a cardboard box, grabbing out pieces of old scraps.

Sebastian fumbled with the goggles when he grabbed them, putting them on.

Vincent set the bigger pieces on his workbench.

Sebastian looked at him, waiting.

Vincent put on his own goggles. ‘Try and weld together these pieces. Show me how much you can do.’

Sebastian held the blowtorch very far from him as he welded. It wasn't that bad, just a bit uneven.

Vincent watched him closely.

Sebastian finished eventually, looking at Vincent for criticism.

‘It’s a bit wonky,’ Vincent noted. ‘But that’s okay. You did a pretty good job, but it’ll look better if you don’t hold it like it’s dog s---.’

Sebastian laughed, not expecting that. "Well uh... Thanks? I'll try not to do that." They looked very embarrassed.
