Ernie stirred a bit more, turning to his side. -

Mahina closed her eyes again, figuring she should get some sleep. -

Ernest squeezed her hand in his sleep. -
Mahina opened her eyes and smiled.

Ernie was still asleep, although thankfully, his frog nightmare ended.

Mahina kissed his cheek.

Ernest stirred and woke up, rubbing his cheek. He opened his eyes and smiled.

Mahina smiled. ‘G’morning, sunshine.’

"It's morning already?" Ernest mumbled.

‘No. Still afternoon.’

"Oh." Ernie chuckled. "You tricked me." His brain was in that just-woke-up hazy sort of feeling.

‘It’s called sarcasm, dork,’ Mahina chuckled.

"Stop tricking meeee." Ernest mumbled, laughing.
