Collins smiled and reached into her satchel, pulling out an orange. ‘Do you like oranges?’ she asked, chuckling it to him.
-

"I love oranges!" Florence shouted happily as he mimicked a trumpet.
-

Collins grinned and chucked it to him. ‘There you go,’ she said, reaching into her satchel and taking out a sandwich for herself.
-

Florence caught the orange and bit into it like an apple. He mimicked the crushing sound of the orange.
-

Collins took a bite out of her sandwich. ‘I still have no idea how you eat the peels of things.’
-

"I love the peel, it gives me more juice." Florence said before mimicking a whistle
-

Collins shrugged, continuing to eat her sandwich. ‘Whatever floats your boat, I guess.’
-

"I love food!" Florence said happily. He peeled off the peel of the orange and ate it as he attempted to scratch the syringe out of his wing.
-

‘Most people do. We like surviving,’ Collins said, smiling. She noticed him scratching. ‘Is it the syringe?’
-

"yeah. Maybe the electricity is making me itchy but I can't reach it so I just have to scratch." Florence said before mimicking that sound dogs make whenever they scratch an itch
-

‘You should’ve told me about it earlier. Then I could’ve taken it out for you before you got electrocuted,’ Collins said, sitting down and looking up at him sympathetically. ‘I mean, we can wait till it wears off, but still.’
-

"the syringe was already there when you got here, I think it got caught in my wing while I was rolling around in my sleep." Florence said. He was trying to rationalize why it was there
-

‘Syringes on the floor isn’t the safest thing on earth,’ Collins said, crossing her legs. ‘Does it hurt or anything?’
-

"there's all sorts of unsafe things on the floor here. The syringe only hurts a little in comparison to the broken glass though." Florence said as he scratched at his wing and are orange slices.
-

‘Why would there be broken glass on the ground? Seriously, did nobody ever clean up around here?’ Collins asked, frowning.
