"What do you mean?" Amber asked, a curious expression taking over her face.

'I mean what I said. I'm not too sure about them being good friends anymore.'

"Why wouldn't they be? You're still in touch, aren't you? That shouldn't change anything."

'Yeah, we're still in touch.'

"oh... Well you've got me! I'm your friend... Right?" She added sheepishly after blurting that out.

Miles smiled. 'If you'd like to be,' he said, trying not to sound too eager.

"Of course i do!" Amber smiled as well.

Miles smiled, but was unsure of what to say that wouldn't be too weird. 'Well, what about you? Do you have any good friends?'

"Not really. Every friend i get either is scared away by my sisters or hears a rumor spread about me from Skylar." She sighed. "But hey, who needs friends when i've got an enemy like that?" She laughed it off.

Miles smiled half-heartedly. 'Yeah, I suppose,' he said, trying not to sound too concerned. 'What was Skylar like before she - you know. Was she nice?'

"Yea, actually. We were pretty good friends." Amber said.
(idk if i said something the complete opposite of this sometime in the rp, but i'm too tired to go and check lol) -

'Why'd she just up and turn on you? ... If you don't mind me asking,' he added quickly, not wanting to get too nosy. -
"I think she had a thing for that guy i was becoming friends with. That's the only thing i can think of."

'Jeez,' Miles said, brows furrowing. 'That's it? Must've been a big thing if she started being a bully to someone so nice.'

Amber shrugged. "Girls do that when they have a crush. They'll tear down anyone to look good in their crush's eyes. At least, most girls do." She said, trying not to lump herself in with Skylar.
