  Kairi was disappointed by the fact that her father's screaming had awoken her mother. She only ever wandered through their dreams, never daring to take her torment into the real world.
  
  Dreams could be chalked off as a result of guilt. Physical torture was something to be investigated... But the haunting of their dreams, their now never-sleeping souls, wasn't enough to her... Why was she too nervous to do something real? She pondered that for a moment, watching her mother attempt to shut her father up with vodka and ambien.
