I was awoken by the loud bang of thunder. It was cold, i got out of my bed slamming the window closed. "Damn this weather" i muttered, stumbling over to my light switch. I think the power must've been out because my light wouldn't turn on "great just great." -
Samantha2332 NoviceI was up late doing homework. Thunder blasted and lightning strook, it made me draw a line in highlighter all across my paper. Then the lights went out.

Something howled, i jumped. I tripped over my blankets that seemed to have fallen to the ground. I landed hard on my butt "ow." Suddenly there was a flash of lightening, there was a dark figure outside my window... -

I walked into my moms room. "Mom do we have any flash lights?" I asked. "Yeah their over there," my mom said sleepily, pointing to a random spot without opening her eyes. -
(sweet thats a cool power, mine will be time manipulating, i can freeze time, slow it down etc although i can't speed it up, and i can unfreeze people so the can move in the time freeze)
I scrambled over to my window, outside was pitch black, in other words i couldn't see a thing. I heard a growling noise come from outside my door, or was it from the roof? -

I ran my fingers under my bed. Please be there please be there please- my fingers curled around the bottom of my metal baseball bat. I pulled it out from under my bed, then i searched through my draws until i found my army knife "ok whatever or who ever is out there better watch out" i threatened quietly.

Something thumped against my window, i got my baseball bat ready, tucking my army knife into my thigh stap that i was never bothered to take off while i was sleeping. A drop of water hit my head.
