It was only two years old, and a siege of 100 undead appeared.
The dwarves hid inside, however this was a year when food was limited. In 3 months all the food was gone. They decided they would rather die by the blade then by hunger so opened the gates.
RIP dwarves. -

I would try embarkong with nothing in the hardest possible area, the death count would reach hundreds in a year or two.
